
Tshokolo Petrus "TP" Nchocho
My Story
Tshokolo Petrus Nchocho (“TP”) has recently completed his 5-year tenure as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), a position that he held from 1st January 2019. The IDC is a Development Finance Institution with over R170bn in investment assets, over R13bn in revenue, and is self-funding with a sustainable profitability track-record. He has over 25 years’ experience in the economic development finance and banking arena.

Prior to joining the IDC, he was CEO of the Land and Agricultural Development Bank (“Land Bank”) – a position he held for 4 years from February 2015 to December 2018. TP’s career in economic development finance and banking spans over 25 years, having previously served as a Group Executive at the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) - a portfolio that covered a wide spectrum of sectors – Infrastructure, Energy, Telecoms, Transport/Logistics, Water resources, etc. The role responsibility entailed coverage and execution of investments in areas of corporate and public sector finance, project finance debt and equity investments.

· Serves on the board of Sedibelo Platinum Mine.
· Previously a board member of the SA Energy Council.
· Appointed to Chairman of the board of the National Ports Authority.
